She spends most of the movie in a coma, R4. No way could she have campaigned as a lead.

She was top billed though

DL fave Victoria Winters was the other woman. I remember reading the book and being shocked to find out that juicy detail, which I don’t remember being discussed much in the media coverage.

Surprised it was nominated for best director because the Sunny flashback scenes (exquisite) feel like a different movie than the courtroom stuff.

One of my favorites and Glen Close wasn't even nominated for an oscar. She was terrific.

I bought a blu-ray movie today as well. The Age of Innocence, how dare that I did not have that in my library.

Irons could play Helmsley convincingly

The scenes depicting Dershowitz as an heroic mensch were cheesy and unconvincing.

I read that Glenn was campaigned as lead for Reversal. That same year she was pushed as supporting for Hamlet. Neither came thru.

Julie Hagerty should have been a much bigger star.

Annabella Sciorra (who plays Dershowitz’s wife) was always so lovely. A few years later she’d be at the peak of her promise, only to have an assault by Harvey Weinstein derail her career and mental health.

LOVED the film

Yes he did it- Sunny’s home in Newport was not dark and kind of Firhis. It was very light- more of a villa than a house.

Felicity Huffman is very good as the law student who is blinded by her sense of righteousness while arguing with Alan Dershowitz, but boy, does that scene play much differently now than it did just a few years ago.

OP, I love you for buying this old, mediocre movie. I just bought the Blu of Bloodline and I couldn't relate more.

Well made & acted, but, it's attempt to make Alan Dirtbag into some sort of folk hero is disgusting.

1990 was the last year of Glenn's hot streak. She had a few movie hits here and there since but not consistent streaks
